Theres so much to write about Pujo....but just dont seem to be able to gather any energy to start writing.
Check out some photos I posted on http://jayeetam-photographs.blogspot.com.
Just a few pointers on some of the excitement here. Will write in detail later.
- I took leave on wednesday and thursday, friday was a holiday. So in all, five days of Pujo. Simi was here by the Indian Airlines flight on thursday night....so we were all there for Pujo together.
- Its time for the nex-gen allright. Runa was omnipresent. She conducted most shows, competitions. You name it and she was there. She is confident, articulate and speaks well in all three languages - english, hindi and bengali.
- And my Pujo session addas have been taken over. By none other than Ishaan. Ishaan went morning, afternoon and night for Pujo. He went looking for his friends as soon as he reached the pandal, wanted a yo-yo as all the older boys had it. Sat on the staircase of the stage for his addas. Didnt go back home with me in the afternoons (he would come later with his mashi). And didnt want to go back home even at 1:30 in the night (like his dadu).
- He also participated in the drawing, recitaiton, and boogie-woogie competitions. Won some prizes. Will also be participating in the Go-As-You-Like tomorrow...if his mother can do things for him on time.
- Ishaan's recitation competition's video is here. This is all thanks to his Dida, who takes the pain of teaching it to him...every year.
-
- Roll Call was a hit :). They did well in both Bengali Sameeti and Keys High School, despite their more than exorbitant prices.
- Dhruba Kaku, Indranl kaku were all in their elements. All types of pagla dance, dirty jokes, horrible songs were all part of the daily dose of pujo.
