“Every time I see these Bachchans, I get freaking irritated”, a statement people around me have got used to, since the time abhishek and aishwarya got married. “Pray, what does it have anything to do you?” you ask. Oh everything…everything…we were all part of the tamasha everyday, if only from outside the gates. And I have a right to be irritated by these new irritating relatives of the rai family. So, what was I saying? Haan…I just cannot stand this mr Big Bachchan.
At no point in the movie do you feel awkward, about this old man-young woman romance. Their hugs don’t bother you, their sex talks are witty, and make you laugh. All in all, they make an extremely cute couple.
At one point, she makes him run, touch a tree and come back running, to inform him that she was making sure whether he can really go “beyond just holding hands”.
Zohra Sehgal as Amitabh’s mom is in a role worth her time after a long time. The little girl is good. Mouthing the dialogues as she must- like an adult. The movie drags once Paresh Rawal enters. As the father of the bride, who is shocked beyond words, his jokes or satyagraha are not real. They seem made up. His character flawing at every stage.
The movie has some wonderful moments, awesome jokes, more awesome acting, and my rockstar (all over again), this man called, Amitabh Bachchan.
