Not My President!

Nitin urges bloggers to put up a banner on their sites, asking for answers to all these allegations: I believe these are absolutely valid questions that need to be asked, and I am attaching the image here. If you want to do the same, you can just pick it up from here.

And I really think you should…

  • The lady ran a bank that had its license revoked in 2003 for “alleged financial irregularities.”
  • She had a sugar factory that defaulted on a loan of Rs 17.70 crores.
  • She has supposedly protected her brother from a murder charge.

Most importantly, I dont really want to have a president who is visited by some "baba" in her dreams - asking her to be prepared to take on bigger responsibilities. Forget the idea of having a superstitious president, this one goes beyond. She was apparently talking to this apparition!!

And then makes this news public. To make us believe in the crap. Nonsense!!!!

She, definitely is not my president! Lady, or no lady.

Some good links on the subject:

  3. This one here talks about letting her inner voice speak - http://business-standard.com/common/storypage_c.php?leftnm=10&autono=289105. Is there any such thing for politicians?

Looks like it's a desperate ploy to cover up the 'bad' news published about her a couple of days back. Even if it's not, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth to think that a future president of India can indulge in such superstitions. What a leap from the present president!

Thanks! There's a sale right opposite our office, and there are a couple more always going on - Best Bookstore (Lakdi-ka-pul near the petrol pump), MR (punjagutta and abids), one opposite Nampally railway station and of course the Sunday market. The best part of Best is the huge number of first hand (a bit old maybe) hardcovers you get at throwaway prices.
