This topic comes a little late in the day, but then...the excuse that I wasn’t able to blog for a long time always stands true.
The article in New York Times talks about why everyone around feels that the great neck rub by President Bush is a definite no no for any politician.
Well, I for one can’t seem to understand the hullabaloo that this has created. If you have a look at this video here, she definitely didn’t seem too upset. From the look of it, she is smiling at the end of the whole thing. And the neck rub just seemed like a friendly gesture, something which proves that the two have known each other long enough and are friends…outside their political roles.
But if you can fathom what in the world has been responsible for the below mentioned action, I will be damned…..
In Moscow this month, President Vladimir V. Putin greeted a 5-year-old boy at the Kremlin, lifted his shirt and kissed his belly. Mr. Putin later explained the gesture as a spontaneous act of affection.
Ugghhh! President or no president…no unknown guy gets to hug my son like that, and if I were the boy’s mother…I would box him on his nose.
